barbara arnold’s artwork

Barbara Arnold is an artist who lives in Niwot, Colorado, just outside of Boulder.  Her recent work uses encaustic, a process involving painting heated beeswax onto a rigid surface. The translucency of the encaustic medium enables her to achieve a dimensionality in her paintings not possible using oils or acrylics.

Barbara graduated with honors from Washington University in St. Louis where she studied Painting as well as Comparative Arts and Literature.

Her work is currently represented by the Lombard Contemporary Art Gallery in Orlando, Florida and by the Vilona Studio Gallery in Berthoud, Colorado, and the Agora Gallery in New York City.
