My artwork since 2010 has focused on environmental issues. I use encaustic medium on wood panels to create paintings that have depth and intensity of color. It is my intention to make work that is visually compelling to bring attention to the work and thereby stimulate conversation about matters which are challenging our world. Topics which have inspired my paintings include overfishing, oil spills, forest fires, radioactive fallout and climate change.
I live in Niwot, Colorado a small community near Boulder, with my husband and two children who are in Niwot High School. Our third is at college (nearby!) studying Engineering at CU Boulder.
